The wonderful dinner that chunnie cooked!

The day started bright and early when we attended Dr Ho Kaiwei’s wedding at the Arts House. The march-in was supposed to start “promptly” at 11am, but only started at 11.45am so by the time the ceremony ended all of us were starving!

Luckily he made up for it by having quite a drama 8-course lunch (like a typical chinese wedding dinner and just as long!), with videos and interesting speeches where he was described as a “gungho softballer”?!

Carrying on the theme of eating, we decided to invite the peeps over to Ian’s place for dinner and the FA Cup final. So right from the wedding lunch (which ended at 4pm!) we went grocery shopping at PP. While Ian went running I was in the kitchen like the good lil housewife, I mean girlfriend, cooking up a storm and taking Bejewelled breaks in between.

Ping, Tian, Julie (and mini-Tian), Ian & I tucked into a wonderful dinner while watching first SATC, then the FA Cup, and here’s the menu:

Menu
—–
Pita bread with hummus and spring onion dip
Caesar salad
Pork roast with saussage and herb stuffing
Roast potatoes
Gelato (mango, cookies & cream, hazelnut)

Surprisingly Tian, and EVEN Ian, praised my cooking afterwards!! 🙂

Unfortunately we were too engrossed with eating that we forgot to take pictures!
Next time…
